Carol Says: Good movie. Good acting. At the end of the movie I had to ask myself… If my child were gifted, a mathematical prodigy as in this movie, what decisions would I make for my child for her education? Would I want my child to go to college at age 7 to further develop her genius, or would I want her to have more of a life as a child in a regular school?

That is the basis of this movie . Of course they make it more complicated with the background situation in each person’s life, and the reasoning each person makes.

Here is what it is about… Frank has custody of his seven-year-old niece after his sister’s death. When it is discovered that the seven-year-old is a mathematical genius., Frank’s mother (the niece’s grandmother) wants this seven-year-old to go to a college for geniuses. Frank wants the child to have a normal childhood and go to a regular school. It ends up that Frank’s mother takes him to court for custody and as to where the child should go to school. As stressful as that may sound for a movie , it flows quickly and it is a good movie .
