CalTrans Paving in Downieville Starting 10/15 to 10/18

Highway 49 Subject to Delay for Roadway Maintenance Operations

Downieville –  The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) advises motorists that Highway 49 will be subject to one-way traffic controls Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 18 from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for roadway maintenance operations.  Delays of up to 15 minutes can be expected.

The schedule is as follows:

Monday                                     Highway 49 Downtown Downieville

Tuesday &

Wednesday                                    Highway 49 PM Coyoteville to Nevada Street

Thursday            Highway 49 North Bound Lane/Rocky Rest Campground to the Water Gauge (just north of Indian Valley)

This delay is necessary for Caltrans Maintenance crews to perform roadway maintenance work in and near the community of Downieville.

Roadside message boards will be used to post the latest information.  Unexpected weather or events may prolong or cause the work to be rescheduled.  Caltrans reminds motorists to “Slow for the Cone Zon

10/10/12 The Downieville Caltrans Maintenance Station will be doing paving
operations in the are next week that could have potential impacts to your
community traffic.  Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls Monday
through Thursday 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in and around the Downieville area on
Highway 49.

Please be aware that Monday will be the day with the most traffic
interfering work.  Crews will be paving up to both sides of the Downieville
Bridge.  Delays of up to 15 minutes can be expected.
