Vinton– The Sierra Valley Grange will present two performances of Cowboy Poetry and Song on Octobr13 at the Grange Hall on Highway 70 in Vinton. A matinee performance will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a second evening show, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The proceeds will go to benefit the Grange Building Fund. Show tickets are $23 for adults and $8 for kids. Dinner Tickets are $12 adults and $* for kids.
The performers are : Caroline Markham, a native of Wickenburg, Arkansas who trained as an opera singer but migrated into Western folk music and dude wrangling. She has an exceptionally lovely voice and is sure to be a hit on her first appearance at the Grange.
Gary Robertson of Oklahoma makes a return performance, he has been a ranch manager, farrier, all around cowboy and storyteller for 25 years.
Tom Hiatt, a cowboy balladeer from El Cajon , with his trio, the Sundown Riders will appear. Tom won the 2011 Western Artists “Will Rogers Cowboy Award” for best western song is new to the Grange stage.
