Our senior CSF (California Scholarship Federation) member Marie Ellsworth was chosen as a Seymour Finalist with an award of $2000.  She will be attending the CSF Conference in Yuba City on April 6th, where she will be competing for an additional $3000.  Marie is one of just 50 Seymour Award Finalists statewide! Congratulations Marie and good luck!

The students in Mrs. Salva’s 4th, 5th and 6th grade class are learning about weather science, and students are rapidly improving their grades! Students have gone up half a grade and some, even afull grade; they are now ahead in class! Good job and keep up the good work!

Last week former DHS student Cody Fischer and several of his friends visited from Arizona Tech. College.  They talked about their college experiences and the challenges they take on in computer programming.  Some students found that Arizona’s Tech. College would be very interesting to attend in the future.

Another thank you for purchasing “thank you cupcakes” from Student Council. The treats were delivered on Tuesday, March 26 and the fundraiser was a huge success. Student Council would also like to announce they are holding a dinner April 23rd at 5:00 p.m. before Open House. Prices for the dinner are not yet released, but the menu will be pulled pork, coleslaw, ranch style beans, iced tea, water, and a table full of yummy desserts.  It’s country themed, and we hope to see y’all there.

Don’t forget that the quarter ends March 28th and grades will be released after spring break. We will see you after vacation; have a nice break.
