Kurtis Brown (19) Roseville. He was convicted of felony failure to appear. Sentencing is set for November 11.

Michael Morrow (27) Sierraville. Violation of probation for failure to contact probation on an underlying conviction of possession for sale of marijuana. Twelve days jail, and probation was reinstated.

Garland Brown (36) Reno. Driving while his license was suspended. Two years probation, fine $1469.

Franke Gardner (51) Chilicoot. After a contested preliminary hearing, he was ordered to stand trial on felony child endangerment charges, and driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Patrick Nadon (37) Loyalton. Assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury. Three years probation, 50 days jail, restitution ordered in the amount of $1200.

Kenneth Couch (49) Loyalton. Under the influence of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Referred to Prop 36 drug diversion.

Russell Penn (36) Loyalton. Invalid driver’s license. Nine days jail, fine $265.

Christopher Atkinson (33) and Brian Cota (42) both of Reno. After a contested preliminary hearing, both were ordered to stand trial on felony false imprisonment charges.

John Stallman (44) and Brandi Stallman (42) are fugitives from the State of Wyoming on felony theft charges. Both waived extradition, and now Wyoming has 30 days to pick them up.

Keith Muller (38) Truckee. Unlawful campfire. Fine $572.

Michael Williams (49) Camptonville. Driving under the influence with a prior conviction for same. Three years probation, ten days jail, and a fine of $2587.

Donald Snider (55) Sacramento. Driving under the influence with a prior conviction, and two failures to appear. Three years probation, 22 days jail, and a fine $2587.

Gracian Sallaberry (22) Reno. Reckless driving, alcohol related. Was ordered to three years probation, two days jail, and a fine $1519.

Daniel Granning (26) Marysville. Driving under the influence. Three years probation, two days jail, and a fine of $2504.

Justin Jeff (21) Lemoore. Was arrested after leading CHP on a chase which at time exceeded 120 miles an hour from the Nevada / California line on highway 80, an ending with spike strips stopping him in Calpine. He was convicted of attempting to elude officers in a reckless manner, driving while suspended, and not being free of custody for more than five years. Four years state prison, and a fine of $2459.

Downieville Gas Station. No water and air provided for customers. This was compromised with the company donating $1500 to the Sierra County Fish and Wildlife Commission.

Douglas Beinhauer (31) Reno. Driving with a blood alcohol level at .08 or greater. Three years probation, 28 days in jail, fine of $2427, and ordered into alcohol program.

Nicole Fultz (21) Loyalton. Under the influence of a controlled substance. She was ordered into drug diversion.

Lang Weaver (21) Loyalton. Sentencing on conviction of sex acts with a minor. Five years probation, 37 days jail (and he did 217 days on electronic monitoring), register as sex offender during his probation, and a fine of $2410.

Tina Elsworth (48) Loyalton. Dog at large, fine ordered, and a restitution hearing for damage caused was set for October 7.

Jason Palmer (34) Loyalton. Failure to appear. Fine $561.

David Tobias (35) Truckee. Drunk in public, and three failures to appear. Fine of $1500 was converted to fifteen days jail, and he was ordered to serve an additional 45 days in jail.

Thomas Stafford (27) Loyalton. Violated his parole by leaving rehab and not keeping in touch with his parole officer. Ordered to 135 days in jail.

Kenneth Couch (49) Loyalton. Driving under the influence with a prior conviction. Three years probation, and 38 days jail. Additional sentencing on September 10.

Lang Weaver (21) Loyalton. Felony sex acts with a minor. Sentencing is set for July 25.

Robert Sien (24) Grass Valley. Failure to appear fail to pay fine. Eighteen days jail.

David Sandoval (51) Goodyears Bar. Discharge of a firearm within 150 yards of an occupied residence. One year probation, fine $350.

Eric Hadji (42) Sierraville. Drunk in public. Twelve months probation, two days jail, fine $650, and must complete 6 AA sessions.

Brian Meyer (34) Reno. After a contested preliminary hearing, he was ordered to stand trial on felony charges of false imprisonment. He remains in custody on $100,000 bond.

Sky Fleury (43) Strawberry Valley. Sentencing on violation of felony probation for driving under the influence with prior convictions. Three years state prison, and restitution of $899 to Sierra County. Fine of $2415 was imposed and good time jail credits to date were not allowed. (The basis of the violation was that he had another inmate break his arm in attempt to be released early from a one year county jail sentence.)

Janel Kammerer (23) Truckee. Possession of cocaine. She was admitted to drug diversion.

Brandon Riley (36) Downieville. Felony cultivation of marijuana. Three years probation, fine $2410, admitted to residential treatment program and ordered to successfully complete drug court.

Laura Unland (56) Alleghany. Reckless driving, alcohol related. Eighteen months probation, fine $1508.

John Carrico (65) Verdi. Disturbing the peace. Fine $280.

Cases weekending April 25, 2014

Paul Evans (53) Sacramento. After a contested preliminary hearing, Evans was ordered to stand trial on felony charges of possession of methamphetamine.

Sky Fleury (43) Strawberry Valley. After a contested probation violation hearing, Fleury was found in violation of his probation. Sentencing is set for May 8. Fleury was placed on probation for felony driving under the influence with prior felony conviction. He was serving a year in jail when he had another inmate break his arm in an attempt to be placed in another jail.

Lisa Copren (49) Sierraville. Ms. Copren admitted possession of methamphetamine and was referred for diversion.

Robert Olson (42) Cameron Park. Illegal dumping, restitution of $1815 was paid to the County of Sierra.

Lang Weaver (21) Loyalton. Weaver waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was ordered to stand trial on felony lewd act with a minor, unlawful contact and communication with a minor with intent to commit a lewd act.

Brian Stebbins (46) Sparks Nev. Reckless driving, alcohol related. Eighteen months probation, fine $1508, alcohol school.

Lawrence Grzelak (56) Sacramento. Grzelak waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was ordered to stand trial on felony charges of defrauding an innkeeper.

Jason Wardrobe (37) Loyalton. After a contested preliminary hearing, Wardrobe was ordered to stand trial on felony grand theft charges.

Cathleen Cullen (43) Claremont. Failure to pay fine on driving under the influence conviction, and two failures to appear. Sixteen days jail, fine $468, which was paid, and probation was terminated.

Bernard Bonavita (50) Portola. Fail to appear, and failure to pay fine on driving while suspended conviction. Nine days jail, fine of $663 was paid in full, and probation was terminated.

Eric Hadji (42) Sierraville. Drunk in public, and open container. AA sessions ordered and fine of $350.

Justin Jeff (21) Lemoore. After a contested preliminary hearing, Jeff was ordered to stand trial on felony charges of attempting to elude a peace officer, driving while suspended, reckless driving, and possession of a methamphetamine pipe.

David Maldonado (23) Delano. Violation of probation for failure to pay fine for driving under the influence and two failures to appear. Fines of $2900 converted to 30 days jail, and six months in jail for the violation.

Brandon Morrow (28) Loyalton. Sentencing on felony battery on a peace officer. Three years probation, 117 days jail, and a fine of $2410.

Adam Malik (35) Davis. Sentencing on felony counts of brandishing a weapon, assault on a peace officer, and attempting to evade a police officer. Five years probation, one year jail, and a fine of $3189.

Adan Baeza (50) Calpine. Driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or above with a prior conviction. Three years probation, 33 days jail, and a fine of $2587, which was converted to 30 extra days in jail.

Ashley Blackwell (27) Downieville. Sentencing on violation of probation for the offense of possession for sale of a controlled substance. He failed to successfully complete drug court. Two years state prison (to served locally under AB109.)

David Farris (42) Transit (Truckee). Sentencing on three counts of first degree (residential burglary). Nine years state prison.

Brandon Morrow (28) Loyalton. Morrow pled guilty to felony level charges of assaulting a peace officer causing injury. Sentencing is March 14.

Michael Brooks (25) Loyalton. Brooks pled guilty to a second degree burglary of Loyalton High School. He was sentenced to 8 months state prison in addition to the two years state prison sentence that he received earlier.

Zachary Carl (28) Loyalton. Restitution in the amount of $1563 was ordered for damage resulting from a first degree burglary.

Jeremiah Sanchez (28) Loyalton. Admitted a violation of probation for not keeping in touch with his probation officer. Six months state prison, probation terminated unsuccessfully.

Kobe Yang (23) Yuba City. Failure to complete a deer tag upon take of animal. Fine $459.

Kaylee Griswod (21) Susanville. Driving while suspended. Eighteen months probation, fine $1458.

Cameron Massey (24) Loyalton. Reckless driving, alcohol related. Eighteen months probation, fine $1508.

Alan White (43) Loyalton. Sentencing after he was convicted by a jury of two counts of resisting and delaying law enforcement officers. Two years probation, 30 days jail, fine $1029 (converted to 100 hours of community service), and two months on home electronic monitoring.

Michael Morrow (26) Sierraville. Violation of probation for using alcohol on underlying conviction of possession of marijuana for sale. Thirty-four days, probation reinstated.

Adrian Sparks (29) Reno. Driving under the influence with two prior convictions. Probation denied, three hundred sixty-five days jail, fine $2622, and remanded into custody.

Sky Fleury (42) Strawberry Valley. Sentencing on felony driving under the influence as the result of a prior felony conviction for the same. Five years probation, 365 days jail, fine $1668, and he was remanded.

Eric Guilloz (44) Grass Valley. Felony driving under the influence causing injury. Five years probation, 90 days jail, fine $2762.

Nicole Brogdon (36) Loyalton. Sentencing on felony injury to co-habitant causing injury and use of a weapon (knife).; Three years state prison.

Mark Black (43) Loyalton. After a contested preliminary hearing, he was ordered to stand trial on felony charges of residential burglary and theft of firearm.

Brandon Morrow (28) Loyalton. After a contested preliminary hearing, he was ordered to stand trial on felony charges of using threats of force against a peace officer in an attempt to deter the officer from his duty, and battery on a peace officer causing injury. He remains in custody in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Robert Wharf (25) Downieville. Violation of probation, resisting or delaying an officer and failure to appear. Sentencing is set for February 24.

Filimon Rodriguez (37) Loyalton. Depositing hazardous substance upon land of another. Forty-eight months probation, fine $444, restitution to the City of Loyalton in the amount of $4,748.10 with 10% interest (for costs to clean up hazardous spill) and 10% to the County of Sierra for collection costs.

Cassandra Cleghorn (18) Loyalton. Under the influence of a controlled substance, and failing treatment program. Ninety days jail, fine $2199.

Allen Tidwell (34) Loyalton. After a contested restitution hearing, he was ordered to pay $4656 with 10% interest from June 2013 and 10% to the County of Sierra for collection costs for damages resulting from his conviction for theft of an automobile.

Kenneth Hagen (65) McKinnleyville. After a contested restitution hearing he was ordered to pay $4395 minus the amount of $1800 already paid, for an outstanding amount of $2595 with 10% interest from October 2012 plus 10% to the County of Sierra for collection costs. Hagen was convicted of grand theft and uttering bad checks.

Nicole Brogdon (36) Loyalton. Felony infliction of injury upon a spouse or co-habitant with the use of deadly weapon (a knife). Sentencing is on January 24, 2014. She remains in custody in lieu of $100,000 bail.

David Farris (41) Transit. After a contested preliminary hearing, Farris was ordered to stand trial on three counts of residential burglary, three counts of theft of firearm, and one count of being a felon in possession of firearm. He was previously ordered to stand trail on residential burglary and felony vandalism. He remains in custody in lieu of $200,000 bail.
